Is it wise to pay for European hostels online and in advance?
Q. Im planning on backpacking through Europe for 60-90 days and wondered is it really a good idea to pay online for hostel reservations in advance? I read other posts saying that its wise to to pay a percentage but all the online sites that ive browsed through require full payment. Has anyone had bad experiences using this method?

Why are the richer countries more powerful military wise?
Q. Why are the richer countries more powerful military wise? What are the advantages of having so much money military wise? What would be the advantages of having less money, but more manpower?

A. More money = better weapons, better technology, better training, healthy soldiers, and you are able to fund studys to better your military even more. Man power is nothing if your guys are armed with nothing but WWI and pre-WWI weapons and have little training while they are facing an army with present day weapons and modern tactics. Man power is nothing if your soldiers are unhealthy because they have little to eat and you don't have money to by them medicine and keep them healthy.
