Q. I need to write on argumentative essay on this topic "No money should be spent on space exploration when there are people dying on earth. What do you think?" A little help please! I need some points.

A. The core of that statement is this" No money should be spend to X when there is/are Y." There needs to be some connection between X and Y, for this to even start to be a valid argument. Otherwise, I could argue that no money should be spent on anything (cars, candy, food, houses, clothing, ...) when there is even one person dying somewhere in the world. More to the point, what's wrong with people dying? They're been doing it for million of years (well, at least many thousands of years). If nobody died, the world would be a pretty sorry place. We would all be living on top of each other, there would be 100's of people where right now there is just 1. Can you imagine what your class room would be like with wall to wall people?
