The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (helpĀ·info), abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English as the Nazi Party (from the Ger. pronunciation of Nationalsozialist), was a political party in Germany between 1919 and 1945. It was known as the German Workers' Party (DAP) before the name was changed in 1920.

The party's last leader, Adolf Hitler, was appointed Chancellor of Germany by president Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. Hitler rapidly established a totalitarian regime known as the Third Reich.

Nazi ideology stressed the failures of communism, liberalism, and democracy. It also stressed the "racial purity of the German people", as well as Northwestern Europeans and persecuted those it perceived either as race enemies or Lebensunwertes Leben, that is "life unworthy of living". This included Jews, Slavs, Roma, and so-called "Mischlings" along with Communists, homosexuals, the mentally and physically disabled, and others. This persecution came to its climax when the party and the German state which it controlled organized the systematic murder of approximately six million Jews and six million other people from the aforementioned and other groups, in what has become known as the Holocaust. Hitler's desire to build a German empire through expansionist policies led to the outbreak of World War II in Europe.

How did Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party view ethnic Indians and Iranians?
Q. How were they viewed in relation to Jews and sub-Saharan Africans? They would definitely not have been classified as Aryans, but the swastika is an ancient Hindu symbol and the Aryan race historically invaded India, introduced the caste system and essentially became Indian. Surely Nazi anthropologists would have realized this given their extensive research, and Indians would not have been classified as untermensch (sub- human)? Iranians are also descended from the same Indo-European peoples and in many cases are fair-skinned and light-haired. What did Hitler think of them?

A. Hitler was keen to support disruption in India, anything to interrupt the conduct of the war by the British and Commonwealth nations. "You are fortunate having been born in a country of glorious cultural traditions and a colossal manpower. I am impressed by the burning passion with which you and your Netaji seek to liberate your country from foreign domination. Your Netaji's status is even greater than mine. While I am the leader of eighty million Germans, he is the leader of 400 million Indians. In all respects he is a greater leader and a greater general than myself. I salute him, and Germany salutes him. It is the duty of all Indians to accept him as their fuehrer and obey him implicitly. I have no doubt that if you do this, his… [cont.]

A. Hitler was an amazing orator(speaker), who used his words and body language to sway crowds because he looked so committed to his ideas. After WWI, Hitler was incensed by the lack of any attempt to barter a better deal. Germany was left in ruins, and this caused many to grow in hatred of many people, Jews included. Hitler's book Mein Kampf was his putting to words what he felt. As a child, Hitler was aspiring to be an artist. He had no real hatred in him. At one point though, he was denied admission into a prestigious art school in Austria I believe. See...if they had just let him in, no World War II!!

Has the Nazi party ever had a candidate up on a presidential ballot?
Q. And for that matter, what does a ballot look like, do they just have McCain, Obama, Nader and Barr's Names with little check boxes next to them, or do they also have like referendums and proposals on presidential ballots?

A. It will vary from state to state. Laws on how a candidate can qualify for a ballot exist in every state, the federal government does have some laws too, but because states have the right to allocate electoral votes any way they want, states have pretty much full control of how they make up their ballots.
