What is a good credit limit for a first credit card?
Q. I got my first credit card a couple years ago via Bank of America, and my current credit limit is $9000. Since I don't have any experience with credit cards in the past, I'm wondering if this is good or not? Is there anyway I can increase this limit? What do most credit card limits start at?

A. 9000 is a very good credit limit, definitely dont try to increase it because that puts an inquiry on your credit report which causes your FICO to lower. most people think the higher their limits the better their credit and this isnt true(it does effect it slightly but there are far greater ways to raise FICO). one thing to definitely keep in mind is that if you feel you will never need 9K limit; call and get it lowered, this doesnt hurt you at all and is a good idea to protect yourself from identity theft. people get these ridiculous credit limits and dont realize how appealing that is to ID theft. but to answer your question the best way to increase it without putting an inquiry on your credit report is simply to not use the card at… [cont.]

Is there an upper limit to a pensioners saving before she can apply for benefits?
Q. Is there a limit to what pensioners can have in savings before they can apply for any other benefits? My mother is 85 and has a little cash in the Bank but we're not sure if she will be able to claim for any benefits. What's the limit she's allowed to have in the Bank?

Is it legal to limit a tenants' option to cable by refusing to allow satellite installation?
Q. We recently rented an apartment in town to stay at a few days a week. Cable was already installed in this 50+-year-old building when we moved in. We would prefer not to deal with the cable company, as their customer service is terrible and we can get a better package from the satellite provider. However, the bldg management won't allow us to install a dish on the building. We can see why they'd have this rule, but is it legal for them to limit our choices in this way? We are in Ontario Canada. We have read that, in the US, they cannot ban satellite dish installations by law.

A. what the US federal laws says in general a landlord can not prohibit the instillation of a dish, but the landlord does not have to allow the dish to be installed in a common area, or anywhere upon the property that would cause damage IE the roof, etc usually leaves the only option is a pole in the Yard and not in any way attached to the building unless the tenant has complete control , like a porch the dish web site has the federal law
