The term developed country is used to describe countries that have a high level of development according to some criteria. Which criteria, and which countries are classified as being developed, is a contentious issue and there is fierce debate about this. Economic criteria have tended to dominate discussions. One such criterion is income per capita and countries with high gross domestic product (GDP) per capita being described as developed countries. Another economic criterion is industrialization. Countries in which the tertiary and quaternary sectors of industry dominate being described as developed. More recently another measure, the Human Development Index, which combines with an economic measure, national income, with other measures, indices for life expectancy and education has become prominent. Developed countries being those with a high (HDI) rating. However, many anomalies exist when determining "developed" status by whichever measure is used.

Countries not fitting such definitions are classified as developing countries.

A. ~There is no average size for a 15 year old boy. You can't control how big you are, now or when you're a man. It's in your genes. The average penis, when erect, is 4.5-6 inches. Don't worry about it, your size is fine.~

Q. What important metaphor is introduced in Hamlet's first soliloquy that will be developed later in the play?

A. I know of 3: (1) "My father's brother, but no more like my father than I to Hercules" (actually a simile rather than a metaphor). Hamlet later says "My fate cries out, and makes each petty artery in this body as hardy as the Nemean lion's nerve." Hercules killed the Nemean lion and fashioned his famous tunic from its hide. So Hamlet WAS like Hercules. Unknown to Hamlet, Shakespeare was using this wordplay to hint to the audience that Hamlet's father and uncle were actually alike (they both valued their land more than their souls). (2) "'This world...an unweeded garden, that grows to seed; things rank and gross in nature possess it merely." The weed was Claudius. Later, when Hamlet was trying to persuade Gertrude to split from… [cont.]

When was the first Christian Bible developed, including the Old Testament and the New Testament?
Q. By Christian Bible, I don't mean when was the first English Bilbe developed, but the very first Christian Bible as we know today. If possible, please provide citations.

A. The New Testament as we know it was created at the Conference of Nicea (hence the Nicene Code). When Constantine the Great declared Christianity to be the official religion of Rome, there was no standardized Bible, but many books which were used by different churches. Constantine ordered the bishops of the church to gather at Nicea to determine not only what books were to be included in the New Testament, but even the nature of Jesus himself. Before that, there were varying beliefs about his divinity. Some believed that he was God incarnate, some that he was the Son of God, and some that he was merely a great Rabbi, or teacher. Needless to say, there was a great deal of debate, not only in the meeting, but even spilling out into the… [cont.]
