HistoryEgyptian hieroglyph door Proto-Semitic Dal, Daleth Phoenician Daleth Etruscan D Greek Delta Roman DThe Semitic letter Dâlet probably developed from the logogram for a fish or a door. There are various Egyptian hieroglyphs that might have inspired this. In Semitic, Ancient Greek, and Latin, the letter was pronounced /d/; in the Etruscan alphabet the letter was superfluous but still retained (see letter B). Greek letter: Δ (capital) or δ (small) (Delta). The minuscule (lower-case) form of D consists of a loop and a tall vertical stroke. It developed by gradual variations on the majuscule (capital) form. In handwriting, it was common to start the arc to the left of the vertical stroke, resulting in a serif at the top of the arc. This serif was extended while the rest of the letter was reduced, resulting in an angled stroke and loop. The angled stroke slowly developed into a vertical stroke. From Wikipedia under the

Q. Could someone please give me step by step instructions to turn the engines of the Level D 767-300 on? Asked by ZUS - Mon Feb 12 15:28:19 2007 - - 7 Answers - 1 Comments A. You would need the manual for that. From what I know, most of these jets are started with a start switch on the overhead panel and placing the fuel switch to run when the engine reaches 20 percent. Of course, the exact procedures are outlined in the Flight Manual which I don't have access to. Answered by pampapilot99 - Tue Feb 13 22:24:20 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "D" |
