Landsat global maps "free?" Wher can I get them? I just want to look at them. I "DON"T" want to buy them.
Q. Every time I want to look at a map somebody wants to sell me one or worse they want to sell me something else? How can I get what I want without these other vultures zeroing in on me? Thanks, Ed

A. You can't...well thats not entierly true either. SOME are provided free...check here https://zulu.ssc.nasa.gov /mrsid/ (don't zoom in too much or you leave the landsat imagery and enter quickbird) Most are older though (5-20 years) As a norm though, Landsat images are proprietary, meaning you have to buy them to get them. There are some places that might have pieces of them that they are using for examples and demonstrations, but you cannot access full landsat imagery for free. Sorry, NASA has to make money somehow. You can however, try a university library, they should have some.
